With all the KFC Double Down hype recently (from the Double Double Down to the Quad Down and more) we knew we had to one-up all the madness that is this meat monster of a sandwich. What to do? Well the choice is obvious. Take the infamous Double Down and the fabled Luther Burger and make the KFC & Krispy Kreme Fried Chicken Luther Double Down Sandwich.

So what you’ve got here is one tasty mother of a sandwich that starts with a half Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut, extra Colonel’s Sauce (gotta get in those added calories where you can), fried chicken breast, Colonel’s Sauce, cheese slice, bacon, cheese slice, fried chicken breast and other half doughtnut.

What you end up with is over 900 calories of tongue flipping delight. This thing will not only supply you with enough calories, sodium, sugar and fat for a good part of your day it will keep you up and running for a bit. The inevitable afternoon crash was not the best though…as there is now a brick in the belly. I do highly recommend you give this a shot though. I know it sounds far fetched but it’s actually quite delicious.

Step 1: Hit up the the KFC and Krispy Kreme conveniently located in the same parking lot

Step 2: Purchase KFC Double Down and Krispy Kreme Glazed Doughnut through the drive-thru (no need burning calories when you’ll be consuming so many)

Step 3: Speed home in delight with your treasures

Step 4: Slice glazed doughnut in half and invert

Step 5: Remove Double Down and place on bottom “bun”

Step 6: Add extra Colonel’s Sauce and add top “bun”

Step 7: Consume the wonder that is the Luther Double

Step 8: Have a mouth-gasm!

Everyone has made fun of the large lady waddling up to the McDonald’s counter and ordering her daily Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal, side of 4 chicken nuggs, 2 apple pies and a delicious chocolate sundae (with added cone). I love reading food blogs and one of my favorite is SliceNy, it’s all about pizza. They had a poll recently on what seasonings people like to add to their slices: red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt, pepper, hot sauce, a combination of the above, etc.

One commenter, SailorDave, who apparently has his own pizza shop left the following hilarious quote and I thought I’d pass it along.

When I’m making pizza for college students at work, I get pissed at the kids who take my beautiful pizza and indiscriminately dump 3 to 4 pounds of Parmesan on top, just because it’s there. Like the entire thing is covered in snowy white powder. My pizza is not Studio 54, children. Frick’n amateurs.

The good folks over at Insurance.com have come up with the 10 most dangerous foods to eat while driving. We all know that driving and eating is probably not the smartest thing, although decidedly less risky than other things…say, driving while making love (not that I’d know). In order to save time in this fast paced world we’ve all been guilty of it, the eating in the car…not the sex.

They claim the bad habit of munching while navigating traffic can lead to an average increase of 25% in your insurance costs and that most accidents associated with this behavior are rear-ending the car in front of you. In general 80% percent of crashes and 65% of near-crashes involve driver distraction…well I don’t think I needed a study to tell me that.

1. Coffee

Obviously the number one item that people will be consuming in their rides next to soda or another drink. This would pull the top spot due to the temperature and the fact that you can never seem to get that lid on their quite right and just as you’re running through a yellow light it spills all over your good khakis.

2. Hot soup

I’m not sure who is consuming “hot soup” in the cars, not to mention who eats “cold soup”, but I guess I can see why this would make the list…in the same way that maybe eating sushi with chopsticks really should have been number one.

Happy Easter to everyone out there. Whether you’ll be going to Mass this morning, hiding eggs, searching for eggs, watching basketball on the couch or just sitting around eating the ears off chocolate bunnies, one thing you’ll probably not be doing is making a Peepza.

That’s what Grace Kang has gone and done to honor the holiday. There is almost nothing associated more with Easter then the venerable Peep…so why not combine it with the deliciousness that is pizza. She’s also made Peep sushi.

I’d first like to thank Joe Riggio and crew at NY Pizza Suprema for humoring me and making the Peepza with a couple boxes of Peeps I brought in to his pizzeria. After some brainstorming, he decided that the best way to cook a Peepza was to do up a regular plain pizza, pull it from the oven about a minute from done, top it with Peeps, and then cook another minute more.

This just in…the westcoast favorite In-N-Out burger is going to be making it’s way over to the eastcoast. Spotted today in New York City (downtown on 23rd Street and Broadway, and 14th St and Broadway also at 14th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues, and 14th Street and 9th Avenue) are signs advertising the coming locations with recruiters out front signing up potential burger flippers.
