No lie…do a search over at the MPAA website for 3 Ninjas Knuckle Up and you will see the actual reason it received a PG-13 rating, that’s right “Non-Stop Ninja Action.” Those boys, Rocky, Colt and Tum Tum are some bad ass mofos…I think they may even be the next iteration of the Chuck Norris meme.

You’ve probably already seen this video (it already has over 1 million views in under 48 hours) by the amazingly awesome band OK Go but I couldn’t help put post it here…it’s just too amazing. It’s for the song “This Too Shall Pass” off of their new album “Of the Blue Colour of the Sky”.
Their video for “Here It Goes Again” is still one of my favorites. I’m glad that they were able to allow people to embed their videos once again. If you haven’t seen this post by Damian from back in January, they had a dispute with their record label about allowing blogs and such using the videos.
It blows my mind that they were able to set this whole sequence up. Obviously they had it rigged to be fail safe but even still…that would take a whole lot of planning, a whole lot of people and a whole lot of patience. This amazing Rube Goldberg Machine was constructed over several months by Syyn Labs and the band in a 2-story warehouse in Echo Park, CA.

If you haven’t heard of the Gumball 3000, let me explain, it’s pretty much just pure awesomeness. It’ s a bunch of rich guys (and some gals) with an appetite for speed and fun. The entry fee alone is $150,000. The “race” is an annual event with a different 3000 mile route all over the world each year. This coming race, held May 1-7, starts in London and ends in New York. There are stops in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Montreal and Toronto (obviously the cars are transported across the Atlantic).
There is no winner per se and there are no prizes. It’s really just some people who can live out their fantasies and laugh in our faces while they do it. Each night these guys party it up big time too with a massive shindig. There have been numerous celebrities involved throughout the years including Adrien Brody, David Hasselhoff, Daryl Hannah, Bam Margera, Johnny Knoxville and Tony Hawk.
