It is easy to place Haiti “out of sight, out of mind” and think that there is nothing that you can do, but in all honestly any little bit does help. Visitors to the new European Union site who would normally be greeted by Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero were instead met with the beautiful mug of Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) thanks to a some very cleaver nyrd with a terrific sense of humor. He did have a political agenda attached to his attack but I enjoy his use of comedy to further his message. I find it both brilliant and inspiring in a way.



With the traditional media all a-tweet about Twitter, Facebook and social media in general and their inability to harness it and understand it (they are like my grandparents trying to figure out their cell phone) it’s funny when you see something so simple like this make headline news. It has done exactly what he intended it to do…it brought hordes of people to the site to view his hilarity but in reality he got his point to the masses…he got his voice heard, and all it took was a bit of humor. Very smart my friend…very smart. And like the the saying goes…it’s funny ’cause it’s true:

Made by some very crafty younggins’ with a love for the “National” team the Washington Capitals, this video is extremely funny and very well produced. In a feat that would make Mel Gibson jealous, Andrew Bowser (King Koopa), of Stereo Waltz Films, directs, raps, stars in, films, edits, writes and produces this wonderful specimen of true fanboyism.



It’s actually a quite informative piece on “the best team to ever play the sport of Hockey…”, covering the history of the team and how they came to be what they are now. There is even a featured spot by Ovechkin himslef, best line “I eat so much Penguins I think I have rabies.” Too bad the Sharks just whomped the Caps 5-2 last night.
