There aren't words enough for me to describe all the ways your logic is flawed and many of your views disgust me.

Frankly I know that most of this debate is pointless because you are close minded and refuse to see anyone's point of view besides your own. I know that you'll claim I'm doing the same thing but I at least try to understand where you are coming from. I acknowledge that the bible is sacred to you and that you believe it to be the word of god. But all this aside you are unable to give me any real proof to support your argument. If the bible is correct then you should be able to give me some reasons behind it. Rather than "it says so."

As much as it disgusts me you were at least able to provide some rudimentary explanation for the other verses I quoted. I personally find the concept that not screaming during rape indicates consent to be appalling and the idea that it's ok to rape someone because then you won't be able to marry someone. Rape is still rape. Slavery is still slavery. The times don't make it right. I appreciate the historical context of it and I appreciate that it was common practice at the time. But you make so many claims to the bible being the word of god and its age or historical context not changing the meaning then that means that all of these things advocating rape or slavery should still be valid. You can't have it both ways.

If you were to give me some reasoning behind your irrational hatred of people who have never done anything to you then at least I would think about why you feel that way. You claim that the bible can't possibly mistranslated and you quote a line from the bible that proves homosexuality is a sin. I tell you that the verse you quoted is mistranslated (and the person claiming this was a minister) and you say that he must have been influenced when saying this. (By the way the word used in that passage from Corinthians is arsenokoites not homosexuals. The translation of arsenokoites is widely disputed and many people have substantial evidence that it doesn't mean homosexuals). I use reasoning that you can't find any logical counter to so you resort to simply saying that my reasoning can't possibly be right because it's not the reasoning you are using.

The problem is you aren't using reasoning at all.
