Years ago a friend of mine worked as a contract programmer at a steel mill. He got a tech call on a weekend and I went with him. In the server room was just such a big red shiny button. I asked his what it did.

"Push that, and five MILES of steel mill comes to a grinding halt".

He could see that gear were turning in my head.

"It costs almost a million dollars to get it started again!"

I backed away from the button.

If ever i was going to only push one button. it would be this one.

or at least the first button in a string of serial button pushings.

Love the fact that armageddon is only being held at bay by a broken plastic cover held together by sticky tape. So we must have come close at least once in the past…. probably by someone scrabbling around in the dark looking for the light switch cunningly positioned right next to it. :)
