It seems the government wants us to believe that terrorism is such a high threat to us Americans. It’s my belief that they use this tactic in order to be able to keep an eye on all of us. Have you been on a flight recently…you practically have to strip down to your birthday suit just to get through the metal detectors. Next time I’m just going to show up in my boxer briefs, we’ll see how that flies.
It’s clear to see with this data though where we really need to put out attention and energy. Problem is that it takes us endless months and debates to figure out our healthcare. Whereas, we’re constantly adding legislation to “protect” our borders, limit travel and add surveillance without thought to the actual consequences.
If we could just educate the public on health and well-being we might have a bit more money to properly handle the other problems that ail our poor little country. I could probably rant and rave for ages on this but I’d much rather hear your opinion. How do you feel about this?
The boys of the Icelandic Stjarnan F.C. certainly know how to take a goal to the next level with their celebration. Now I don’t watch much soccer (aside from the recent World Cup) but I’ve seen my fair share of endzone dances. This may just be one of the best celebrations I’ve ever seen. It certainly ranks amongst the top 10.
I’m pretty sure this is a viral ad for Levi’s but it still doesn’t make it any less impressive. There was actually a group of guys that traveled across the U.S. taking thousands of pictures to create this video.
It looks like this kid has some pretty cool parents. I know when I got caught…ah I mean…my parents would not have made me a public display. Maybe they should have, maybe then I wouldn’t be on this darned computer all day…and maybe then I’d have a life.
Not quite as much of a game show as the others on this list but I felt it still needed mention. It was hosted by Marc Summers and his partner from Double Dare, Robin Marrella. The cool thing about this show was that anyone in the audience could be involved. It was filmed at Universal Studios in Florida. I always had dreams of being an audience member and jumping at the opportunity to eat a Twinkie with gravy or chug a glass of milk quicker than the other kid…all with the reward of smashing a pie in his face.
Prizes were awarded for some things but normally it was just a “What Would You Do?” shirt or water bottle. The best part about the Wall O’ Stuff at the end of the show was when they didn’t get a prize and got a pie or cream squirted in the face instead. Some of the awesome parts of the show were the Pie Coaster, Pie Roulette, the Pie Wash and who could forget the Pie Pod (1,2,3 or four pies?) always FOUR!!!! One of the best things was during the family contests when a spouse, parent or kid would take out their frustration on one another with a good pieing.
I love these silly 3D animations that have been coming out of the Asian media. I’m not sure if you caught the fairly accurate (presumably) reenactment of the whole Tiger Woods debacle, but that’s pretty awesome too. They’re pretty skilled at making these and they’re actually pretty impressive. It’s interesting to see how they view these incidents.
This kid really is awesome! For anyone growing up in the 90’s I’m sure you had your fair share of days like this. I’m not so sure about rocking the fanny pack….but I’ve had my hair like that at times, and I’ve sported those same glasses (although I’m not sure I have the safety string attached…I was cool enough to know that was too far). Either way…here is a handy lesson on how to be…AWESOME!
