Long before The Pirate Bay, Limewire, BitTorrent or Napster, even before cassettes, this was the process used for pirating your favorite tunes. Oh you Twitter Teens have it so easy now. A click, a minute or two, and you’ve got the whole Lady GaGa album on your iPod.
You didn’t have to make a wooden frame for the LP, make a latex mold, then pour the vinyl and wait for it to set. This process was delicate and time consuming. Granted you could then do some scratching on the “Ones and Twos” with the Beatles “White Album”…plus there really is no substitute to the unique fidelity of a good record.
