Actually, if you press on the bottom of a coconut, and it gives a bit, it means the coconut is beginning to go bad, and you probably won't want to eat it.

It is press as in push your finger to see how hard (ripe it is).

It probably makes all other fruits go bad faster.

Try hitting yourself with coconut on the head, how try an apple.
