I’m sure most of you are on Twitter and get inundated with your friend’s Tweets about how big their lunch-time bowel movement was. If any service out there is TMI, it’s got to be Twitter. Next would certainly be Facebook status updates, followed by FourSquare check-ins.
I’ve never been a huge fan of any of these social media sites because of this very reason. Do we really need to know that you just found the perfect dress for your Friday blind date (“It’s got cure flowers down the left side”) or that you just checked in to Johnny’s Grill for a late breakfast (“An egg-white vegetable omelet with homefries”)?
With all that being said…I do like to be on the side of making fun of these sites….which can be just as obnoxious I realize. I know I’m a bit of a snarky hypocrite, but I can live with that. With regards to FourSquare, there are probably a few places that you should never check in from, and here is a hilariously fantastic list of the most shocking or embarrassing.
