From various episodes we know he is a seasoned Recorder artist and we have seen him play such hits as Mambo No. 5, Greensleeves, The Longest Time, On the Wings of Love and You Give Love a Bad Name.

Angela hints to Dwight’s designation as a licensed notary in the episode “Launch Party” when she mentions she wants to end it with him but questions how to do it. “How do you tell someone it’s over? You send them a notarized letter, right? Well, what if the recipient is your notary?” she asks.

8. Beet Farmer and Innkeeper

Dwight lives on the 60 acre Schrute farm with his cousin Mose. Along with offering rooms at his bed & breakfast he has many different activities available to guests including lessons and techniques vital to all who are interested in becoming a beet farmer.

Their State Farm Beginnings course will take you from knowing nothing to becoming a sustainable farmer with theory, practical field work and also a mentoring program.

The Bed & Breakfast Innstitute (see what they did there?) offers workshops, apprenticeships and consulting to help you become the independent B&B owner you’ve always wanted to be. The course covers such essentials as front office procedures, food service, housekeeping and business issues.The fee for the workshop begins at $525 but includes tuition, workbook materials, lodging and meals (2 days worth).

7. Purple Belt in Goju-Ryu Karate

During the episode “The Fight” we learn that Dwight has garnered a purple belt in the martial art of Goju-Ryu Karate. Goju-Ryu Karate is one of the four original Okinawan styles of Karate, and was founded by Chojun Miyagi. The main theory of this style of karate is to use a soft blocking technique to block a hard strike or to deflect the strike rather than to meet force with force and likewise when attacking.

6. Interrogation

Dwight has professed skills in interrogation including the ability to identify someone who is lying, identify a communist and indentify a homosexual.

From basic interviewing and interrogation to advanced techniques including courses that emphasize corporate security or crimes against children you will be able to spot the criminal in no time.

5. German

Dwight’s grandfather was German and we learn throughout the series that he is a fluent speaker of his ancestor’s language.

A good option is located at Deutsch-Lernen where they offer a beginners course including 10 separate lessons covering basic grammar rules and exercises to help you practice and better grasp the German language. 4. Volunteer Sheriff

Although no longer, Dwight was formerly a volunteer sheriff of the Lackawanna County department.

You will need to contact your local police department to inquire about positions and what is required of volunteers but a good place to start would be a certification in both First Aid and CPR. 3. Crossbow and Paintball

In “The Christmas Party” we learn that Dwight is an accomplished paintballer as he offers his services as an instructor as his Secret Santa gift. He professes in “Office Olympics” that he has his own crossbow range (at the same time mentioning that he has only one bathroom, under the porch, for his entire 9-bedroom farmhouse).

In “Cocktails” we learn that Dwight has the skills necessary to escape from a straightjacket. We find this out as Michael attempts to pull of this feat which he learned at magic camp but fails miserably squirming on the floor attempting to free himself.

Along with detailed books covering basic and advanced techniques he also offers one-on-one training and consulting. He holds an annual three day Cannon Great Escapes Convention in Ontario, CA which would be a great opportunity to “get away” for a couple of days.

Several times throughout the series we hear of Dwight’s skills and love for table tennis. He states that many of his heroes are in fact table tennis players including Zoran Primorac, Jan-Ove Waldner, Wang Tao, Jorg Rosskopf and of course Ashraf Helmy.
