There are millions of photos shared online and we have all seen our share of great ones, but my hat must go off to the photo chosen for 2012’s Picture of the Year by National Geographic. With over 22,000 entries submitted of photos, by a mixture of both professionals and amateurs from over 150 countries, there could only be one grand prize winner.

Here is the amazing winning photograph along with credit to the very talented photographer. It is most certainly very beautiful and indeed worth the title given by National Geographic.

Nothing warms the belly on a cold winter’s day or night like a creamy bowl of mac and cheese. This bowl of goodness is still delicious even if you live in a state where the climate is warmer, like California. There are plenty of eateries, such as, Long Beach Restaurants that serve this delicious food made for the soul and many of us can’t help, but eat it up.

Sharks have been given a bad reputation, but this little guy seems to be on a mission to change people’s minds. So, the next time you see a shark fin you may not have to fear it, for it could just be a shark wanting to give you a high-five… or not… okay, all I really know is that I will not be testing out this theory!

Cats look forward to playing with string, a toy mouse, or bird, but what makes them really excited is the smell of catnip. This favorite cat treat makes our furry friends bounce off walls, furniture, and act a little crazy, literally.

Autumn is that time of year when leaves fall off trees and a cool breeze is in the air. It also signifies that it’s getting closer to the time when we dress up in scary costumes, go door-to-door for candy, and throw Halloween parties.

According to the University of California, San Diego, Americans consume 34 gigabytes of data per day. To some, this may not seem like a lot, but to others, this is a huge number of data consumption that happens in just one day.

Dogs are loyal and great companions yet they can cause severe damage to your devices if you don’t take the necessary measures to protect them and your PC from getting entangled with one another. Since your dog is your shadow it is very likely that your dog will be by your side when you are on your PC and you may not be aware of what he or she is doing or of what they will do when you are not home. Don’t take the chance and wait till your PC is damaged or your pet is hurt.

This carving of President Obama out of the point of a pencil definitely does not look like it would be a very simple craft to do. It is a unique piece of art, in which, many of us probably could not even attempt without going cross-eyed first. What great talent!

We have all done it at one time or another; peek at the clock in the middle of the night and become filled with joy that we still have time before the dreaded alarm clock goes off. The sound of that loud beeping noise is effective in getting us on our toes, but no one ever enjoys the process.
