If you haven’t heard of the Gumball 3000, let me explain, it’s pretty much just pure awesomeness. It’ s a bunch of rich guys (and some gals) with an appetite for speed and fun. The entry fee alone is $150,000. The “race” is an annual event with a different 3000 mile route all over the world each year. This coming race, held May 1-7, starts in London and ends in New York. There are stops in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Montreal and Toronto (obviously the cars are transported across the Atlantic).
There is no winner per se and there are no prizes. It’s really just some people who can live out their fantasies and laugh in our faces while they do it. Each night these guys party it up big time too with a massive shindig. There have been numerous celebrities involved throughout the years including Adrien Brody, David Hasselhoff, Daryl Hannah, Bam Margera, Johnny Knoxville and Tony Hawk. What would be your ultimate ride be if you had the money?
